Overview

The Mapadd Generator is a program intended to let casual players quickly and easily create randomized mapadd scenarios for SMOD. Players can run the generator, select desired settings from drop-down menus, and save the resulting script to their mapadd folder. The program is developed and maintained by long-time SMOD fan kh0rn3.

Features

  • Capable of spawning almost any NPC type at random points throughout a map, along with nearly any prop object included in Half-Life2. Players can also set a respawn interval for these entities.
  • An additional 36 custom props can be defined for players' scripts, provided they use appropriate Source models.
  • NPCs' speed, disposition towards the player, and so on can be customized.
  • Players can freely respawn at their starting point, provided smod_playcoopmap is set to 1.
  • Includes a large pack of nodegraphs for Source maps, so time spent making maps AI-friendly is cut.

This program is intended for SMOD version 37c and later, and requires .NET Framework 3.0 (included with Vista).
