Contributing to the Wiki

The easier way to help things move along is likely to contact us and tell us what we're doing right, what we're doing wrong, and what you'd like to see done. This shouldn't take long at all but is damned useful, so please drop us a line!

To make changes to the wiki yourself, you must first be a registered member of Wikidot. To register, look for the "Create Account" option in the upper right corner, which should open a window to walk you through the process. Sorry if this is a hassle, but these are Wikidot's rules, not ours.

Once that's done, you should be able to do everything on the wiki aside from admin-only things like site-wide backups, theme changes, and so on. It may be a good idea to at least skim over Wikidot's documentation (especially syntax), before jumping right in.

Mind that this is after all an open-source wiki, so any changes or additions you make can be edited by others. There's no real "owner" of the wiki's content, but it does have custodians here to add to it, back it up regularly, and oversee its quality.

Once you're ready to jump into editing, you can:

  • click here to get started on a brand new article,
  • head on over to the To-Do List to see a list of goals or to make your own,
  • or contact us and ask what else may need doing.
