Description

weapon_svd is the entity name for SMOD's take on the Russian Dragunov sniper rifle, which makes use of a model ported from the Half-Life mod Firearms.

Primary Fire: Fires a powerful round capable of dispatching most targets in a single shot.

Secondary Fire: Uses the weapon's scope and cycles through the scope's zoom modes (2x, 4x, 8x).

The Use key will toggle the scope's night vision mode at any time.

Convars

  • sk_plr_dmg_svd_scale <float> ( Default: 1 )
    Adjusts how much damage the player deals with this weapon. Does not apply if weapon_svd_cslike is on.
  • sk_npc_dmg_svd_scale <float> ( Default: 1 )
    Adjusts how much damage NPCs deal with this weapon.
  • weapon_svd_cslike <boolean> ( Default: 0 )
    The SVD normally fires a special projectile, svdbullet, that simulates bullet drop and gradually loses power over distance. With this variable enabled, the weapon uses normal "hitscan" bullets.
  • weapon_svd_easymode <boolean> ( Default: 0 )
    When enabled, the player's aim will not drift while using the SVD weapon's scope, and the player will experience no recoil effect.
  • weapon_svd_handblur_mult <float> ( Default: 1 )
    Sets the strength of aim drift while using the scope.
  • weapon_svd_speedscale <float> ( Default: 1 )
    Sets the speed of the rifle's bullets. Does not apply if weapon_svd_cslike is on.
  • sk_max_crossbow <integer> ( Default: 10 )
    Sets the amount of spare rounds the player can carry for this weapon.

Keyvalues

  • targetname <string>
    Assigns the entity a targetname, used by other entities to refer to this entity. Can be shared by other entities.
  • origin <X Y Z>
    Sets the position of the entity within the world. See Coordinates.
  • angle <X Y Z>
    Sets the angular positioning (Pitch, Yaw, Roll) of the entity.
  • model <string>
    Sets the model of the entity.
  • fademindist <float>
    Sets the distance at which the entity model starts to fade. (0 : use fademaxdist)
  • fademaxdist <float>
    Sets the maximum distance at which the entity model is visible. (0 : don't fade out)
  • fadescale <float>
    The scale factor that gives some control over fading. Using 0 turns off the forced fade values.

Flags

Except where noted, flags are OFF by default.

  • 1 : Start constrained. (Prevents model movement)
  • 2 : Reserve for NPC.
  • 4 : Not throwable by the Gravity Gun.
